24 Hours of Prayer

Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. We show our dependence on him through prayer. Play your part in our first round-the-clock prayer initiative this September.

What’s the aim?

Churches all over the world are taking part in a Global Week of Prayer this September. And The Church Experiment is joining in. We’ll be setting up a Prayer Room in a Yurt to encourage you to spend time with God and ask him to work in our communities and around the globe.

How Does It Work?

We’re aiming to fill 24 hours of prayer from 10am on Saturday 12th September to 10am the following morning. We’ll share out the time between us in one hour slots. Then we’ll meet up for an hour of prayer and worship in the tent from 10-11am on Sunday 13th September. We’ll set up the Yurt in the field for round-the-clock prayer, with music, lights and materials to help you prayer in a variety of creative ways.

How can I get involved?

You can book your slot to pray using the link below. You can of course pray from home, but if you’re willing and able, we strongly encourage you to head to the Yurt in the field behind 3 Berrycroft, Willingham. It will help you focus your mind on the task of praying and also enable others to benefit from things you note down and leave in the space.

We’re so excited to see what God will do as we seek him!

Join The Gathering

Whether or not you can commit an hour in the Yurt, be part of a special gathering on Sunday 13th September in The Tent. Starting at 10am with the usual coffee and pastries, we’ll be bringing the whole 24 hour experiment to a close by sharing what we have learned, praying through the main themes, and bringing it all back to God in worship. If you’ve never done anything like this before, now’s your chance!
